Some Scary-Good Deals this October

Greetings Home Video Studio customers and friends. We were just named Home Video Studio's October Studio of the Month! Click here to read the article.
In celebration of this honor, we're offering some SCARY deals in October: ALL HOLIDAY GIFTS 20% OFF (October only). It seems October is when many people begin thinking of gift-giving for the upcoming holidays. Our production schedule creating holiday gifts (see some ideas below) starts to get hectic from this day forward until December 25th. We'd like to offer you this reward for getting your items in early this year and for making our November and December a little less stressful.
Here are a few gift-giving ideas:
1. Create a highlight DVD of your best clips from your VHS or camcorder tape library
2. Organize, archive, and showcase your family photos, 35mm slides, and/or photo albums on CD or DVD
3. Create a Lifestory (a mini-documentary) showcasing a family loved one complete with interviews, photos, and video clips from the past
4. Transfer your old 8mm, Super-8mm, or 16mm home movies to DVD
5. Put those old audio tapes, LPs, 8-tracks, or reel-to-reels on CD (or your favorite MP3 player)
Act now! These are the best deals on holiday gift giving this whole year.
Where are your treasured memories? We'd venture to say they're in boxes in the attic, basement, or closet somewhere. Give us a call or email us today. 816.246.8888. We're ready to create some memorable experiences and some memorable gifts.

June is UPGRADE month at Home Video Studio of Lee's Summit
Greetings Home Video Studio customers and friends. This month we're celebrating our last month of operating the business in our home. You heard it right, we're upgrading! On July 1st, we'll be moving the business to 500 SW 3rd Street in Lee's Summit. Moving to a walk-in/retail production facility is very exciting (and my two children are excited to turn a bigger part of the house into a playroom). :)
In celebration of our studio upgrade, we're offering some free and discounted upgrades to you on all new orders placed in June. Transfer your 8mm/Super-8mm films or videos to DVD and receive a free upgrade to 24k Archival Gold DVDs (a $15 value). Upgrade your transfer order with a deluxe DVD case package with thumbnail images from your videos for $5 (regular $15). Have one-of-a-kind audio recordings (tapes, records, audio reel-to-reel)? Upgrade them to 24k Archival Gold CDs. Place an order for one of our fantastic photo keepsakes on DVD with music and receive a free digital archive of your photos on a separate disc (this allows you to print, email, or simply stow-away your old photos for safekeeping - up to a $100 value).
How else can you upgrade? Well, you can upgrade to savings by supporting our efforts online.

Home Video Studio March Specials

March is photo archival month and all photo orders today through March 31 are offered at an additional 20% off. Have boxes of unorganized photos, slides, or negatives? Give 'em a makeover with our digital archival service. Revitalize those memories onto premium grade archival gold discs.
Our digital archive service is exactly as it sounds, archival. Your discs containing your images are 100% as good as their original format...in many cases better due to our natural color-correction and enhancement process. Play them on your DVD or Blu-Ray player, view them on your computer, print them, share them, email them, post them to Facebook or Flickr, or create your own custom slideshows. They're so much more functional than they once were!
We had a client who recently experienced a devastating house fire. No one was hurt as the family was at work and at school when the fire happened; however, they lost the entire contents of their home. All their precious memories (photo albums, videos, etc.) were lost in the embers. Fortunately, we created an entire digital archive of their memories nearly a year ago and, at their request, maintained copies here in the studio. Their memories were completely restored.
Don't take risk...put it on disc! Be proactive and backup your critical content. Give us a call today. In Lee's Summit (816) 246-8888 or Toll-Free (888) 636-8885. We're ready to create some memorable experiences.

Editor on Board

I'm pleased to announce Matt Terwilliger, our new Director of Editing and Post-Production. Matt completed a summer internship with us in 2008 and has recently finished a degree in Interactive Digital Media from Northwest Missouri State University. I'm excited to have Matt aboard. He brings a lot of experience in photography, design, and motion graphics to the table and will offer a fresh perspective on the "look and feel" of all projects that come through our doors. Welcome Matt!

Here's to a New Year!
Now that it's nearly the 6th of January, it may sound cliché to offer you a "Happy New Year," but I truly feel one is in order. I hope you feel renewed in this new year, ready to take on the experiences and change it will bring.
I don't know about you, but I've created a lot of goals for 2009: family goals, health goals, business goals, and the list continues (how about just keeping up with this blog?). The number one goal, however, is not to treat my goals like typical "resolutions" but to see them through to actual achievement this year. This, of course, requires the break-down of each goal into action steps that are measurable.
My aim in telling you this is accountability. It is my hope that by broadcasting this to the world, or to the few beings that actually read this (thank you, by the way), I may keep my goals in check this year. By the same token, I hope you find people and methods to keep your goals in check this year too.
Here's to a really great year. May you be blessed with abundance and achievement like never before!
